We excel in major market media tours and recently conducted campaigns for: • Paul Ehrlich, Bing Professor of Population Studies and President of the Center for Conservation Biology at Stanford University. He is the author of 40 books including The Population Bomb, one of the first books to bring environmental science to the general public.
Prior to opening Carney & Associates publicity firm in 1985, Kathlene Carney was a talkshow producer for ABC's KGO-AM, the largest news/talk radio station in Northern California. She also worked as a news producer for NBC's KNBR-AM, and she produced talk programming for KSFO-AM and KYA-FM in the San Francisco market. Kathlene graduated with honors from San Francisco State University with a degree in Broadcast Communication Arts. She's a member of the Northern California Book Publicity and Marketing Association, and the San Francisco Bay Area Publicity Club where she served as vice president and secretary. Kathlene continues her education through seminars, conferences and classes.
ROBIN FAHR Robin has worked on both sides of the camera for more than 20 years. She currently hosts and produces Conversations with Robin Fahr at Tri-Valley TV, a regional TV talk show that showcases interesting people in the San Francisco Bay Area. She's served as a TV news anchor, investigative reporter, assignment editor, and news producer for several stations including KGO-TV in San Francisco. As a publicist, Robin has booked authors and experts on hundreds of local, regional and national media outlets, and represented clients such as Prince Michael of Greece, Carol Channing, Leslie Uggams, Andrea McArdle, Philip Kingsley, Shirley Conran, Chuck Barris and many others. Robin graduated with honors from San Francisco State University with a degree in Broadcast Communication Arts. She currently lives in Walnut Creek, CA.
